Doing My Part

I just wrote emails to both the Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum and Florida Governor Charlie Crist to protest the impending lawsuit that the State of Florida is going to file against the federal government in response the the recently passed health care bill. Florida is joining 9 other states in doing this. Although it is widely expected that these lawsuits will fail, I am letting the Governor and the Attorney General know, that they do not speak for me.

If you live in a state that is planning one of these lawsuits, you should do the same.

  1. I commented in national media blogs that McCollum has once again failed as an attorney. Federal laws are the supreme law of the land. Just as he was the last one to support the articles of impeachment against Clinton and was then defeated for reelection to congress, he is using Florida taxpayer monies for a frivolous lawsuit to further his campaign for governor. The results will be the same... defeat.

  2. This bill is a blatent violation of the constitution mainly because of the individual mandate. If that is stripped i think its ok, but i should NEVER be compelled by the federal government to buy health insurance. That is the realm of the states and ONLY the states. Thats why the several states are suing the feds over this.
