I'm Sorry It Came To This...

But because of asshole spammers, I'm going to start moderating comments. I tried implementing a "captcha" but obviously that didn't work. If you want me to link to your blog, a friendly email will suffice. But I won't tolerate you hijacking my blog. Period.

Hiya gang.

Looks like one of the videos we posted a while ago were causing some folks annoying pop-ups! Our pop-up blocker kept it from hitting us so we didn't notice until a fellow reader let us know. I think I've taken care of it, but if you encounter it again please let us know.

Sorry about that and thanks! :)

Work Sucks

And I woke up with a cold. Just waiting for the NyQuil to kick in so I can get some sleep before I go into work tomorrow on my day off.

This Is Gonna Suck

Due some unforeseen software issues circumstances, work is going to be insane for a while. It's probably going to tie me up a bit, and posting may be light.

Long Day...

Friday, May 13, 2011

This is me (that's right, your faithful blogger Ronny) standing in front of the historic Capitol Theatre in Flint, Michigan. This theatre was designed by John Eberson in 1927. In his time he was considered the foremost designer of movie palaces throughout the country. He also designed the Tampa Theatre that is located in my current neck of the woods, which also hosts the the Tampa International Gay & Lesbian Film Festival every year.

This picture was taken while New Line Productions was in town to shoot exterior scenes for the film Semi-Pro, which took place in Flint circa 1976. Note what is written on the front of the marquee. That was a nod to Semi-Pro cast member Jackie Earle Haley who, as a child, co-starred in The Bad News Bears.

The Look On My Face...

... when I saw that my most recent posts are gone.

I had posted this picture earlier, but I hadn't realized that some jackass decided that the original artist deserved no credit and removed his mark. So I am giving credit where credit is due. Check out this guy's photography. It's some pretty amazing stuff.

I'd blow his Pan pipe

Ronny and I went to a local goth/industrial club called the Castle on Friday for a costume night. I used to frequent this club a lot and love the atmosphere. Here was a particularly good costume of a hot boy dressed as a satyr. Mmm mythical.

Duffy the Disney (Gay?) Bear

This is Duffy, Disney's newest character. Note the adorable sailor suit. And that he's a bear. A Teddy Bear that you can not only purchase, but you can purchase many fabulous outfits for him to wear. He also comes in pencil toppers (you know, the kind where you stick the eraser end of a pencil up what is presumably Duffy's ass), and fans (where he rides joyfully straddling the spinning device that cools you and lights up at the same time), and other various merchandisey things.

This is the Bear Flag.

And this is Duffy's flag and logo.

Tito tells me that the connection is completely in my imagination, but I'd bet you real money that it was Imagineered that way. A nod to a community that not only gives the company it's best talent, but also a community that makes up some of it's most loyal customers.

But I could be wrong...

I got a photo with him as well at a meet and greet that we got access to. Maybe if I get drunk enough, I'll post it.
